The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has named Lisa Sequino as President of its Makeup Brand Cluster, effective June 9th, 2025.
Sequino is returning to ELC, where she spent nearly half of her 20-year career—after serving as CEO of Supergoop! for 16 months.
“I’m excited to return to The Estée Lauder Companies to help drive the next chapter of growth in the makeup category,” says Sequino. “There’s tremendous opportunity to reach new makeup consumers globally by accelerating innovation and trends, fast-tracking consumer acquisition across channels, driving digital and social media, and assuring local relevance to win with today’s makeup consumer.”
“I look forward to partnering with the incredible teams behind MAC, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Smashbox, and GlamGlow to unlock new opportunities, scale impact, and drive meaningful business results,” Sequino adds.
As the new President of the Makeup Brand Cluster, Sequino will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and global growth of makeup. She will oversee ELC’s makeup brands, including MAC, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Smashbox and GlamGlow. She will be responsible for accelerating innovation and makeup trends, step-changing consumer recruitment, and enhancing local relevance.
Sequino will report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive Vice President, Chief Brand Officer. “Lisa is a powerful leader with a strong record of driving brand and business results,” says Hudis. She notes that her entrepreneurial mindset makes her well-suited to “fast track ELC’s makeup cluster into its next phase of growth.”
“Under Lisa’s leadership, we are focused on winning with today’s makeup consumer across generations, geographies and channels,” adds Hudis.
ELC says Sequino’s appointment reflects the company’s continued investment in strengthening its makeup category and unlocking long-term opportunity.
Upon taking over the role of President of the Makeup Brand Cluster, Sequino is returning to a company she was at for nine years. She has a total of two decades of experience in the beauty industry, including nearly a decade at ELC.
Sequino has “a distinctive blend of deep institutional knowledge and proven success as a CEO,” ELC’s press release states.
She held senior roles across ELC’s global and North America businesses. Sequino served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Estée Lauder – North America. Next, she advanced to Senior Vice President, Brands – North America. She oversaw a multi-brand portfolio across skincare, makeup, and fragrance. Sequino was responsible for “optimizing brand synergies,” ELC states.
After her time at ELC, Sequino served as CEO of JLo Beauty—and most recently, CEO of Supergoop! Under her leadership, Supergoop! launched innovative products, including tinted moisturizers, lip balms, and setting powders that redefined the suncare category.
